Australia Festival Yurt Hire

 The venue is called the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, situated in rolling farm and bushland about 90 kilometres west of Melbourne, and is truly one of the world’s finest festival sites. Meredith 2008 has a remarkable line-up will be completely sold out .
We are able to offer some Mongolian Yurts for hire to those lucky enough to have festival tickets. Please have a look at the HOME and ABOUT US pages of this site to read and see more about the yurts.

YURTS FOR ALL SEASONS
These beautifully-decorated, hand-made Yurts are bliss to be in, and are practical in any weather, thanks to a design that has been refined over centuries. The hand made felt insulation helps maintain a uniform temperature, and the top vent allows you to see the stars at night whilst maintaining a good air-flow. In hotter weather you can raise the skirt to allow any breeze to keep you fresh and cool.
These structures are entirely different to tents, which have little or no insulation. Yurts have proven their value over thousands of years in central Asia, where they have stood the test of time and weather, and are still used widely as a preferred place to live by the now-settled former nomad people.

YURT LOCATION
The Yurts will all be located in a Yurtopia Village, situated in the campground closest to the top of the Amphitheatre, in a prime spot. The Yurt Village is on the border of the campgrounds known as Hong Kong and Mulwaverly. Go to the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre  to see a map; the Yurt Village will be situated at map reference K7. The Yurt Village is close to all amenities and facilities.

 TIMES, PARKING
The Yurts are available for hire for the complete duration of the festival including the two nights of camping. All prices below include yurt hire for that entire time. You will be able to drive your vehicle right up to the yurts and park alongside your home for the weekend.

SIZES, FURNISHINGS
The Yurts come in two sizes (16 foot and 20 foot), and two different levels of furnishings (standard and luxury). NB: With Standard Accommodation Furnishings you will need to bring your own bedding.

PRICES

16 FOOT YURT WITH STANDARD ACCOMMODATION FURNISHINGS: sleeps 4-6 people, comes with wooden floor, lockable wooden door, coffee table, 4 stools, space dividers. Bring your own bedding (eg doona, sleeping bag, air mattress etc). Price: $850 plus GST.

20 FOOT YURT WITH STANDARD ACCOMMODATION FURNISHINGS: sleeps 6 – 8 people, comes with a wooden floor, lockable wooden door, space dividers, coffee table, 4 stools. Bring your own bedding (eg doona, sleeping bag, air mattress etc). Price: $1000 plus GST.

 20 FOOT YURT WITH LUXURY ACCOMMODATION FURNISHINGS: sleeps 4 people, comes with a wooden floor, lockable wooden door, 4 luxury airbeds, doonas, pillows, linen, towels, coffee table, 4 stools, Mongolian furniture, Mongolian rugs and wall hangings, space dividers, mosquito nets, and other basic equipment like cups and plates. Price: $1280 plus GST
